If you DO NOT wish for you or your child to be photographed or filmed please inform us during the booking process or inform the session leader before the class.

Siblings Discount

We offer a discount when booking 2 siblings on to the same session. Misuse of a discount code or incorrectly booking a sibling ticket that isn’t applicable will result in an invoice being raised for the remaining balance. This must be paid in full before the session or your booking will be cancelled without a refund.

Payments, Cancellations & Refund Policy

Payment is required at time of booking
Payment has an added payment processing fee
Due to room hire charges, preparation and material costs, payment is non-refundable or non-transferrable for missed sessions including non-attendance for illness.

Class places cannot be transferred to another child, only the child originally booked on can attend.
Children should not attend a session if they have had any form of illness up to 48 hours before a session. The session leader may refuse participation if they consider a child to be poorly or showing symptoms of illness.
We cannot offer a refund for missed sessions due to illness, however we may be able to check if there is someone on the waiting list who is able to take your place or you may offer the ticket to a friend who has a child of a similar age. If this happens please inform the session leader before the session.

Short notice alterations 24 hours prior to a session may occasionally be accommodated at the leader’s discretion. Please contact the class leader who will advise further.

If Curious Caterpillars messy play has to cancel a session due to unforeseen circumstances, we will contact all participants as soon as possible and issue a credit voucher for a future session.

During Sessions

Parents/Carers Responsibilities

Parents/Carers are solely responsible for supervising their child/children at all times during the messy play sessions.
Although care is taken to ensure materials used are non-toxic, parents/carers should take sensible precautions to ensure materials are not consumed by the babies/toddlers. Some materials provided including food may present a choking hazard, so it’s imperative your child is supervised at all times to eliminate the risk of choking.

Some activities involve materials which can become slippery, so extra care needs to be taken. The session leader will put reasonable precautions in place to minimise slip hazards. Curious Caterpillars Messy Play does not accept any responsibility whatsoever for any accident, allergic reaction or illness found to be directly attributable from any product or item provided.

No running is allowed during sessions.
No food, drink or liquids are to be taken onto the activity sections. We understand some children get hungry, so if your child needs a drink or snack please take them to one side while they eat.

We strongly advise you dress you and your child in old clothes which are comfortable and suitable for messy play. Curious Caterpillars Messy Play will not be liable for clothes that are stained, marked or damaged.

Parents/Carers are asked to remove their shoes during sessions to reduce possible transmission of dirt, grime, bacteria or infectious diseases. Shoes need to be worn to visit the bathroom during the sessions. Please place shoes under your changing chair and make sure verruca’s or blisters are covered with a plaster and socks before visiting the activity stations.

Please inform the session leader immediately if your child has a toilet accident or is sick to ensure we can remove the activity station to clean, sterilise and replace it.

Under no circumstances does Curious Caterpillars take responsibility for loss or damage to any personal belongings during the messy play sessions. This includes prams or bags left in situ.

Parents/carers are under no circumstances allowed to leave the building without taking their child/children with them.

It is the parent’s/carer’s responsibility to notify the session leader of any new or existing medical conditions or allergies straight away.

The session leader follows rigorous checks and risk assessments of the venue and our equipment to ensure they are clean and safe to use.
